Playing with my camera

I've been reading my 4000 page camera manual, trying to master certain settings so when we go to Disney I can get great shots.  One of things I've been working on is consecutive shots that stay in focus.  For some reason I couldn't get the hang of it.  Then yesterday I spent some time outside with the kids.  Now really, I should have been cleaning wthe yard, but well, I didn't feel like it.  So I took pictures instead.
