Alex's 8th birthday!!!! We gave Alex his choice of parks for the day and he chose the Animal Kingdom, which was perfect bcause we hadn't been there yet. Now I'll be honest Allen and I are not big fans of this park. There are certainly some highlights but overall I don't care for it. We decided to go a little slower and try and enjoy the minor details so we would hopefully enjoy it more.
We were there for rope drop, of course. Doesn't matter if it's your birthday everyone up early and let's get moving. We wandered around a bit then headed over to the Festival of the Lion King to catch the first show of the day
Wow what a great show. I highly recommend seeing it.
Somewhere along the way we finally found Stitch. Lilo was there too but let's be honest, it's all about Stitch. Speaking of which does anyone find it a little strange that the Dragon in Dreamworks How to Train your Dragon suspiciously looks a lot like Stitch?

We then started to head over to the safari. On the way Alex stopped to chat this little fella up. He called all the ducks Florida ducks.
We headed out on the safari and got some fantastic photos. This guy was right next to our truck.
There were a couple of baby giraffes just hanging out
I apologize but I've been having photo download issues so this day is going to be done over multiple posts because well frankly I'm getting frustrated.
